19-Twenty is known for high-energy performances, with it common for guitarist and vocalist Kane Dennelly in particular to launch himself across the stage with gusto while belting out a song.

So what is their secret behind these energetic shows?
"Spiced rum," laughed Dennelly.
"But really, I think it's because we're three best mates having the time of our lives and we love doing what we're doing, so I think that comes across.
"I don't understand how bands just stand there and do it.
"For me, it's about enjoying every single beat and every note and feeling that too."
With foot-stomping songs that force you to get up and dance, it is hard to define the trio's style and they often have to describe themselves as a blues-rock-folk-punk band.
Dennelly said the easiest way to describe them was just to say they were a party band and warned anyone thinking of attending one of their gigs to expect the unexpected, as they never plan anything.
"It's about leaving feeling better than when you turned up," he said.
"That's our mantra, we just want people to say 'that was a good night'."
They are returning to the Murrah Hall in May, the place where they recorded their live album which is the record they are currently on tour for.
When the trio was looking at making a live album they went through a stage of recording all their gigs, but had not found the venue or audience that really captured their live sound and vibe until they arrived at the Murrah.
"It's 200 people in a confined space and it's BYO, so I think that's a recipe for craziness!" Dennelly said.
The hard-working trio is constantly on the road away from their home base of Jervis Bay, performing at 54 festivals so far in Australia and overseas as well as 32 this year alone, which Dennelly described as "insane".
If this was not enough, they have also begun putting together their next studio album, although it is still 12 months away from release.
Dennelly said the best advice he could give someone else starting out in the music industry was to "just do it".
"There's no secret; it's just hard work," the 32-year-old said.
"There will be an audience for whatever they're doing, no matter how big or small. You've just got to find your audience."
The last question to ask: what was the story behind their name?
"When we first started, the original drummer was 19 and I was 20," Dennelly said.
"It's so simple, I just wish there was a better reason!"
19-Twenty will perform at the Murrah Hall, 2989 Tathra-Bermagui Rd, Murrah, on Friday, May 10 with the gate opening at 7pm.
