Held over the Easter weekend, the retro themed event brought together surfers from as far away as Tasmania and the Gold Coast and as close by as Eden and Merimbula.
Mallacoota Boardriders president Vanessa Janss said one of the many aims of the festival is to bring together surfers from the Far South Coast.
"It's a grass roots type festival aimed at building community and culture. It's a chance to meet and hang out and make connections in a relaxed atmosphere," she said.
The "Merimbula couch surfers" dragged their signature beach couch on to the sand at Betka Beach to kick back and take in the action of Good Friday's team surf competition.
Ten teams with names like Go Go Gidget, The Jerrys and the Saltwater Crew competed for the title while cool tunes pumped out from the commentator's pergola.
Wearing specially tye-dyed rash vests, competitors of all ages took on the swell in true laid back surf fashion.
Even Elvis could be spotted among the crowd - Mallacoota boardrider Brett Menke dressed as the King caught a tube or two.
Mallacoota local team The Token Tradies took home the title, with Merimbula crew The Jerrys as runners-up.
Other features of the festival included a street art paste up exhibition, YNOT Open Mic, open surf and live music from Bermagui band Benji and the Saltwater Sound System. The festival kicked off with a retro karaoke night.
