All three Schafer brothers took the park together for the first grade game against the Stallions, on a ground which has meant the world in their family.
Their grandfather Tom Shingles had been a long-standing captain-coach of the Cooma Rovers throughout the 60s and never missed the opportunity to watch his grandsons play.
Unfortunately, Mr Shingles died in 2007 and never got the chance to watch Corey 24, Blake 22 and Rhys 18 play together like Sunday's game where a 36-4 scoreline was just icing on the cake to the prolific league family.
"It was a proud moment to watch all three boys play together for the first time, especially on my father's home ground," proud mum Lesley Schafer said.
"Dad would have been so proud of the boy's sporting achievements over the years, but there would be no prouder moment than looking down on them on Sunday, all running around playing first grade together for the first time."
The trio are fourth generation Bulldogs, following in the footsteps of their father Warren "Waz" Schafer and his father Alan and grandfather Norm before that.
Mr Shingles had furthered the footy ties on their mother's side of the family and Ms Schafer said her dad was a "fanatic, who never missed a chance to watch the boys play."
Unfortunately, passing when the boys were young, Ms Schafer said her dad missed the chance to watch the boys progress through junior reps and now into the top grade.
"He was a big supporter of them and loved watching them run around the field when they were young," she said. "Although he never got the chance to see them play any rep footy."
The boys were close with their grandfather and Corey said it was "a dream come true" to share the day with his brothers on the ground their granddad held so dearly.
Ms Schafer said the Pazcowski boys were another iconic set of brothers for the Bulldogs, but was unsure if all three had ever played together in first grade.
The atmosphere was boosted even further when Luke Rixon stamped authority on his place at fullback, scoring a hat-trick for the Bulldogs.
Zach Mikula was in fine form to plant a pair of four pointers, while prop Grant Moon also carved his way through the Stallions to find the line alongside off-season pick up Brock Seabrook.
The club will have a week off for the Easter holiday with a round three draw against the Narooma Devils on April 28.
