The 19-Twenty band are bringing their infectious riff and groove based blues rockin' roots to Club Sapphire.
The Jervis Bay based band has been performing high-energy sonic party style shows nationally, headlining sell-out shows and festivals across the country.
Constantly on the road or in the sky, they have toured seven times around Australia and performed gigs throughout Europe including Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany.
Band member Kane Dennelly said it feels like quite an achievement to have toured Europe twice and to have performed at 46 different festivals in their six-year career.
“I don’t know if any other Australian band has done that, travel to 46 different festivals in six years,” he said.
The 19-Twenty lads are currently working on their fifth studio album to be mixed by Nash Chambers and is due to be released at the end of this year.
A memorable gig the 19-Twenty band held in the Bega Valley was at the Murrah Hall in May last year where they recorded their live album.
“The live album has come across really good, and will be out in March,” Dennelly said.
The band consists of Kane Dennelly as lead vocals and guitars, Syd Green, who is an award winning producer and percussionist, on the drums then there is Dobro John Gwilliam, who drives the double bass and backing vocals.
The show is sure to be a crowd pleaser this Friday night, Dennelly guarantees a unique performance is in store.
“We never have a plan what we are going to do, we never do the same thing twice,” he said.
“It’s always a party.”
Dennelly said you can expect all originals with a few cover songs in the mix.
Performing anywhere and everywhere, this straight-up 100 percent independent act have been blazing throughout Europe and Australia and gaining new music fans and fiends from their live shows.
Doors open at 8pm. Tickets cost $25 and are sold at Club Sapphire reception, phone 6495 1306. Please note this is an 18+ event.
