Charles Aggenbach said the roster starred all the best performers from the coast who were available for play.
“I think it’s our strongest team since we won it in 2017,” Aggenbach said.
Captained by Tathra’s Pete Bennett, there is a depth of ability in the batting line up with inclusions like Matt Lawson, Dylan Jordan, Ben O’Reilly and Chris Dwyer.
Adam Blacka and Merimbula opener Brendan Daley were also on selector’s radar, but were unavailable for this weekend’s clash.
“Realistically the bottom few shouldn’t even get a bat, the top six are entirely able to bat out 50 overs.”
The bowling order will be equally dangerous with devastating left-arm quick Matt Bell out of the Eden camp, right-arm swing bowler Matthew Priem and rising young talent Jack Allen in the roster.
Bennett himself is a stoic all-rounder providing a good option at the crease and medium pace with the ball.
Featuring a mix of competition stalwarts and promotions for the area’s under 19 stars, it’s a plan to look ahead.
“We wanted to build a strong team, but also one that will have a core group for the next few years,” Aggenbach said.
“It’s the strongest batting line-up we could arrange and they’re good with the ball not just the bat.
“You’ve got potentially nine players we could call on with the ball, they’re extremely capable.”

Local cricket fans are encouraged to head along to Bega’s George Griffin Oval on Sunday for what will be the only senior rep game in the area until next season.
The Far South Coast will face off with the Monaro cricket association in a battle on the natural turf.
“If you want to see top quality local cricket, this is the strongest 11 we’re putting on the park,” Aggenbach said.
“I think this game will really showcase the ability and potential of our association players, we’d love to see everyone get down to the turf on Sunday and cheer the boys on.”
“That’s not to discredit any other players that weren’t picked, we have lots of quality waiting in the wings.”
The first ball will be 10.30am at the Bega Recreation Ground this Sunday in a 50-over one day format.
