Member for Bega Andrew Constance announced a $60,000 Surf Club Facility Grant for the Pambula Surf Club and Community on Saturday, January 12.
“We have been trying to get this going for the past 12 months, it’s great news – now we can go full steam ahead,” surf club president Stephen Hodgson said.
“We already have a construction certificate being prepared from council, and local tradespeople will be contracted to do the job.
“It will be great to have a safer area for the barbecue and food preparation and to have more storage space so we can move around a bit easier in the main shed,” he said.
Broulee Surfers Surf Life Saving Club also received $350,000 from NSW Government as part of the $3.9 million awarded to 24 surf lifesaving clubs in New South Wales.
