Club officials said they were on track to make a spectacular resurgence in the 2019 season with the committee confident of putting forward all four senior teams including first and reserve grade, the returning ladies league-tag outfit and an under 18s roster.
Peter Mitchell will continue at the helm of the Tigerettes who secured a historic premiership for the town last season.
The club announced last week Michael Wykes to lead the first grade outfit, while also confirming the club would be bolstered by returning players like Tsai Tui.
“We’re extremely pleased to confirm Tsai is coming back, he’s highly regarded and we know he’s eager to line up with his brothers,” White said.
The club was also excited to announce today the signing of Jeff Donald as the reserve grade playing-coach and captain.
Donald had been captain-coach at Cooma previously, but most recently had been serving with the Queanbeyan Roos.
"He is a very experienced and tough as nails player,” White said. “We’re ecstatic and proud to announce he’s coming on board and the club will benefit from his knowledge.”
Donald is a seasoned campaigner and likely to make a start from the front row, but White said he was also a massive contender to run out some first grade minutes during the season.
A number of the club’s former under 18s will make their debut in reserves and first grade with White saying they will benefit hugely from the leadership and direction of Donald and Wykes in the respective grades.
“This signing gives us depth and experience, the skill base it will give these players provides a great succession plan to build strength for the future.”
With so much homegrown talent coming in, president Graham White is confident it could be the strongest Tigers roster in a decade.

The Eden touch football competition launched on Monday and Tigers Stalwart Sheldon Wykes said it was a stunning turnout. “It was just great to see so many players down there from all age groups including the little ones getting in – it was huge,”
Pre-season training has begun on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6pm at George Brown Memorial Oval with good numbers turning out.
The club successfully filled all committee positions at its recent AGM with Kezia Crome named Secretary, while Sharon Spink takes on the roll of Treasurer, Tina Grewar will serve as registrar and Dave Evelyn as Public Officer.
In other news, the Club’s Christmas party will go ahead on December 16 at the Seahorse Inn with a light training run at 10.30am and lunch at 12.30pm.
