YOOFTube is South East Art's regional short film competition for young people, now in its seventh year.

All finalists are aged between 12 and 20 years and come from the Eurobodalla, Snowy Monaro and Bega Valley Shires.

The finalists' films will be shown at free public screenings the The Picture Show Man Cinema in Merimbula on Monday, November 12 and the Narooma Kinema on Thursday, November 15. Winners will be announced at the Merimbula screening. A Snowy Monaro screening will take place later in the year.

All YOOFTube finalists are in contention for a number of prizes, including the $1000 JD Shaw Best Film Award.

YOOFTube Co-ordinator, Kate Howarth of South East Arts said: "Filmmakers were allowed to interpret the theme "Change" however they pleased. The result is a vast array of films including stories of social anxiety, life changes and even pocket change."

"Not everyone can make it to the finals unfortunately, but congratulations have to go to all who entered. The judging panel had some really difficult decisions to make. All films have to be under seven minutes in length, and it's inspiring to see the stories that can be told in such a short period of time.”
