Stalls will be set up inside and around the Nethercote Hall on Saturday, October 27.
The fruit and vegetable stalls will have plentiful supplies of avocados, cabbages, herbs, lettuce, lemons, mandarins, onions, oranges, potatoes, rhubarb, rocket, silver beet, snow peas, spring onions.
There will be loads of eggs, Tilba cheese, honey, nuts and nut spreads, grass fed beef and lamb, chilli products, fresh flowers, oysters, bread and plant seedlings, which is all produced on Nethercote’s doorstep.
Local kitchens will be selling jams, pickles, pastries, cordials, sauces, shortbreads, delicious cakes and pies.
Invite a friend along and enjoy a cooked breakfast from the Nethercote Residents’ Association barbecue, or catch up over a plunger coffee or tea with a delicious slice of homemade cake while listening to the foot-tapping live band Red Heart Blue.
Do you have some fresh home produce to sell but not enough for a stall of your own? You can sell it at the Growers’ stall, from a bunch herbs to a crate of lettuce. Drop it into Nethercote Hall between 3pm and 4pm on Friday afternoon or before 8am on market day.
This Nethercote Produce Market will be donating its profits to Bega Valley Farmers who have been doing it tough in the drought, which you can support by buying your morning cuppa from the morning tea stall, fruit and veges from the Growers’ stall or raffle tickets for the market hamper, which contains a variety of delicious goodies from all of the stallholders.
Doors open at 8am for the early birds looking for the top produce, and close at 12pm after the raffle draw.
