In conjunction with all the activities held over the weekend, the Bermagui Cancer Research Advocate Biker’s (CRAB’s) held their annual duck race on the Bermagui River on Sunday.
Two duck races were held during the afternoon, with the human propelled big duck racers taking to the water first.
In great time, the Bermagui Gelati duck powered by Will Vaughan-Smith was first over the finish line and will have his name engraved the perpetual trophy that resides in the CRAB’s club house.
Winner of the little duck race was number 219 Petronella Piet, who was unable to be at the races, but by all accounts will be thrilled, saying to the ticket seller, she never wins anything.
Second place went to duck number 124 owned by Liam Jones-Sullivan and coming in last was Steve Mallick.
