On October 5, The Swamp Stompers will be launching their eagerly awaited fourth EP supported by other local acts Cuppa Shred and Wolf Stone.
The EP was recorded at Pirate Studios in Bournda, with recording engineer Dave Sparks and South Australian producer Torsten Gustavsson (aka Corduroy Spaceship).
The Swamp Stompers recently played at the Cobargo Folk Festival on the main-stage tent, and packed out both shows with crowds of over 300 people.

Emerging from the dirty backwaters of Lismore in 2012 while Bega’s Corey Legge was at university, the three band members have since been banished to far-flung swamps across Wollongong, Katoomba, and Old Bar NSW.
The band sounds like the musical lovechild of John Butler Trio, Led Zeppelin, and Red Hot Chili Peppers, with three-part harmonies, catchy guitar riffs, and dubstep inspired didgeridoo soundscapes setting this original blues-rock trio apart from the pack.
Since this fateful merging of musical minds, The Swamp Stompers have set about earning themselves a significant reputation as one of the most promising up-and-coming acts to emerge in recent years.
Australian blues legend Lloyd Spiegel is a big fan.
‘‘Catchy grooves, intelligent songs and youthful hunger – this band has the right mix of potions to take Australian blues and roots to the next level. One of my absolute favourites.’’

The band’s three singles have all achieved success.
“All My Loving [Feat. Holly Tapp]” landed ahead of Tash Sultana’s smash hit “Jungle” in the AMRAP rural charts Top 10 in November 2016, while previous single “Wicked West” achieved Triple J airplay and a prestigious MusicOz Award nomination.
Following up from The Swamp Stompers’ eclectic 2016 EP Suspended Suns, the band is set to release its highly-anticipated latest EP in late 2018 with the new lineup consisting of Corey Legge, Luke Ligtenberg, and Oli Morley-Sattler.
The Cobargo Hotel show is free entry, and starts at 8.30pm with Wolf Stone, followed by Cuppa Shred at 9pm, and The Swamp Stompers from 10pm until close.
It is being billed by Cobargo Hotel publican Dave Allen as “the biggest Cobargo pub gig ever”.
The Swamp Stompers’ Cobargo show will form part of a 16-date national tour, to coincide with the release of the Shadows on the Wall EP, and the video for the lead single of the same name – which was filmed and edited by local Tim Winterflood.
The Swamp Stompers will be playing the Granite Town Festival in Moruya the following day, October 6.
