The women’s outfit secured the minor premiership, finishing the regular season six competition points clear of the Wolumla Tigresses.
However, the Killer Whales stand defiantly alone as the strongest attacking side in the competition with 74 goals for the season, three goals clear of the Wolumla outfit and more than 40 ahead of any other team in the draw.
Just eight goals conceded all year also pits the club as the second best defensive roster on the docket with the Tigresses giving up one less on seven goals against.
The Eden ladies finished the year off cleanly with a comfortable three-goal win over the Bega She-Devils in the round 14 season finale.
Meanwhile, a 2-1 loss at the hands of Bega Red did not keep the reserve grade out of the top four with the Killer Whales scraping past Bega White on four and against to finish in the number four spot.
Eden will again face the Bega Red outfit in the opening matches of the semi-finals, but all teams will enjoy a week’s rest with the Mallacoota Carnival filling the calendar this weekend.
“Looking forward to a fab day in Mallacoota whilst supporting this great little club,” A spokesperson said on social media ahead of the weekend.
Games are held in Mallacoota with play from as early as 9.15am with officials saying it was a fun way to finish the year for mini-field teams.
Senior finals get underway on August 26 with Eden to play Wolumla in ladies and Bega Red in reserves.
