Eden’s 31st Cash Mob dropped by Eden Antiques, Collectables and Old Wares. It was a fantastic trip down memory lane for some, while others found new treasures. You will find everything from candle stick holders to lip balm, an old vintage kid’s car to crystal bowls. If there is something in particular you are looking for Jason and Eric will try and source it for you.

Jenny shopped today thanks to Roses Property Management, Eden Realty contributed to Sophie-Ella, Nicole and Chelsea’s shopping, first time mobber Elaine along with regular Sharon are off to the Golden Ocean Chinese for a meal, Eden Spa and Beauty’s voucher was won by Catherine and Sophia will treat herself while shopping at Eden IGA while Viviene and Janet are buying themselves something new thanks to Simply Irresistible.
With Corey on the grill a delicious morning tea was enjoyed at Eden Fish and Chips. Chris had made some home-made melt in your mouth Greek treats which were popular with a coffee. Meet & Munch

Science Week Story time
The Eden Library will be hosting a special Science Week Story time on Thursday, August 16, at 10.30 am. We will be working with Collecting and Classifying kits that we have been sent from the Little Bang Discovery Club which is an initiative of the Children’s Discovery Museum, as well as reading some science related storybooks.
RSPCA Trivia Night
Members of the Sapphire Coast Branch, RSPCA NSW are busy preparing for their annual trivia night to be held on Saturday, August 25, at Club Sapphire, Merimbula.
The trivia night commences at 7pm for a 7.30 start and tickets are available from Club Sapphire for individuals or tables of eight people. Members will be out and about selling tickets in a raffle which will be drawn on the night.
This is one of the major fundraisers for the local branch which runs a re-homing program for cats and kittens and meets regularly to promote animal welfare in the area.

Meals on Wheels volunteers needed
Due to illness and some volunteers leaving town, the Eden volunteers of Meals on Wheels have five vacancies. Two are needed on the first Wednesday of the month, two on the third Tuesday of the month, and one on the second Thursday.
It will only take approximately one hour to deliver food to the clients, food is fresh and hot packed in thermal bags for delivery. You will need to fill out an application form and be subject to a police check at no cost to the individual. Contact the Bega office, Natalie 6492 4146, or Sharyn in Eden on 6496 1550 (not after 3pm).
Wyndham trivia and regifting night
Book your table now for the next big Trivia Night in Wyndham on Saturday, August 11 by calling Yvonne on 6494 2443. Entry is $10 per person with a maximum of eight per table, or just find a spot on the night. Raid that piggy bank and bring along some gold coins as well for the fun games between rounds.
This event is going to have a “regifting” theme where you pass on an unwanted gift at the door towards the winners prize and in return, you receive a ticket in the draw for the fabulous lucky door prize filled with the best of Wyndham’s products and services.
The only rule is, do not go out and buy a gift, rather “regift” and pass it on!
Proceeds to the Pretty Point Bridge Fund.

South Coast Police District Police Aboriginal Consultative Committee provides an opportunity for Aboriginal community members to discuss local Aboriginal issues.

Free legal advice
On Wednesday, August 15, a solicitor from Shoalcoast Community Legal Centre will be visiting Eden to provide free legal advice to women with booked appointments. Shoalcoast is situated in Nowra but is funded to provide free legal services to women living in South East NSW.
Shoalcoast solicitors are experienced in resolving many types of legal problems in most non-commercial areas of law, including consumer credit and debt, family law involving children, Centrelink problems, employment, tenancy issues, power of attorney and guardianship, discrimination and victims compensation for childhood assault, sexual assault or domestic violence.
The next Eden free legal advice clinic is on Wednesday, August 15, 12.30-3.30pm at the Eden Access Centre, corner of Mitchell and Imlay St.
