Top Pub manager Grant Kennedy is looking forward to snapping us out of our stay at home behaviour by bringing back the fun Friday night out!
“We are trying to rekindle a Friday night out, because there isn’t much else happening around here,” Kennedy said.
“Initially we put solos or duos on after the raffles each Friday night, but after summer the crowds started to die off and the footy season started.
“What I have found lately is that everyone is coming for the raffles and then going home to watch the footy.”
In an effort to keep the scene alive, Top Pub has come up with “Hot August Nights”. The warmth of the pub and spark of live musicians will set your weekend on the right foot.
We are starting Hot August Nights to try to rekindle a Friday night out.

Five acts are booked to play over the coming weeks, kicking off with Chris McGrath of Moruya this Friday.
McGrath is well known in the South Coast music scene. As a bass player he has a feel for groove and rhythm. He has a great command of the old and new in all of your rock favourites, combining his singing with a dash of technology.
And for a young fellow he has a swagger of music experience, not only as solo performer but as a duo with his brother Mick and as bass player for originals band Spindrift Saga.
Top Pub’s goal is to bring back the crowds and provide live music to Pambula. When summer swings around Kennedy said you can expect even bigger acts “out the back”.
“It’s a bit cold to have bands play out the back, so we are keeping it at solo and duo acts inside for the time being,” he said.
Something to look forward to is the good old Sunday sessions – the perfect summer time treat.
“When it warms up we are looking to have bands play on Sundays," Kennedy said.
But, for now the Toppy is tastefully ramping up your Fridays with over $500 worth of meat raffles run by the Pambula Merimbula Bulldogs, kicking off at 6pm.
Live music is set to start at 8pm right through to 11pm. The free courtesy bus travels to and from Merimbula, Millingandi, Pambula and Pambula Beach. Follow Top Pub on Facebook for upcoming artists. For inquiries call 6495 6012.
