President of the Eden Whale Festival Committee Michael Sawers said that the Port Authority played an integral part in Eden’s economy. “We have had a long association with the Port Authority and welcome their support,” he said.
Paul Webster, Harbour Master/Pilot, Port Authority of NSW said the Port Authority was proud to be a major sponsor of the festival.
“The annual festival has been drawing crowds for 22 years now and this year should be no exception. We can’t wait for our town to come alive with music, markets, performances and the famous parade — it really is a celebration of our community.
“For the second year, the Port Authority is also sponsoring the fantastic Recycling/Re-Purpose competition. One of our key roles is to protect our pristine port environment and this recycling competition is a creative and colourful way to raise awareness about sustainability and the need to reuse, reduce and recycle,” Mr Webster said.
