The fire had spread throughout the home, and is believed to have started from the kitchen. Firefighters extinguished the blaze.
“We got to the house and it was well on fire, so we started performing defensive firefighting,” Eden Fire and Rescue member Paul Kirkby said.
The housing commission home fire was also attended by Bega and Merimbula Fire and Rescue, Eden Rural Fire Service, Eden Police and paramedics.
There were no casualties, and no suspicious circumstances have been associated with the incident, Mr Kirkby said
