At the last Pambula Hospital Auxiliary meeting nurse manager Kelly Jurd presented the auxiliary with a wish list requesting essential items required at the hospital.
A key item on the list for the well being of patients is television viewing and the purchase of a minimum of 12 televisions was confirmed as a priority. The installation will form part of the stage one renovations.
The auxiliary took the opportunity to ask about further renovation work after stage one. The auxiliary is particularly concerned whether stage two will include renovating the wards, the bathrooms and the soiled carpet in the main corridor and wanted to know if this would be taking place immediately following stage one completion. Ms Jurd said she would get back to the auxiliary concerning the current status of proposed works.
With continuing support from the Royal Willows Hotel, Pambula every Friday from 4.30pm meat trays are raffled with the proceeds donated to the Pambula Hospital Auxiliary. In addition Foodworks, Pambula continues to contribute to the auxiliary.
The next Pambula Hospital Auxiliary meeting will be at 10am Wednesday, June 27 in the building just below community health and new members are welcome. For more information call Shirley Rixon 0456 196 891.
