Tathra’s Tarni Evans alongside Bermagui girls Jorja Moore and Grace Gowing were all named as part of the combined NSW/ACT outfit to contest the under 16s Youth Girls National Championships.
The match was held in Albury on Sunday.
The girls were selected after impressing during trials at the beginning of the year through the South East Sports Academy (SESA) program and have been training hard ever since for the competition – as well as their local draw.
Unfortunately, the combined outfit lost a tough battle with the Victorian side, going down 45-14.
Despite the loss, family and friends said the girls played a great game and it would no doubt provide valuable experience to share with their home clubs.
All three girls are showing incredible potential and will have another chance to compete as they grow into the under 18s roster.
