That is until Wednesday, when she drove home her brand new Hyundai i30 Go after winning the major raffle at the recent bushfire relief concert Band Together.
“I was shocked on the night, I just stood there! It’s the last thing you expect to happen,” she said.
Perhaps doubly so because Ms Milsom had no idea she even had a ticket in the raffle.
While she was working at the kids’ corner at the concert on May 26, her sister had bought her the ticket without telling her about it.
Ms Milsom, who works in Merimbula, thanked the groups who had donated to her prize, all those across the Bega Valley who donated time and money to Band Together, as well as the concert’s organisers.
“It was a huge thing what they did, and it was wonderful,” she said.
The car was donated by Bega Valley Motors, Tarra Motors, Momsen Motors, Fraser Marine, ARV Caravans, Ron Doyle Motors and Eden Motor Group.
