The ride will apply the final polish to the tracks that were burnt during the March bushfires.
Over 80 volunteers attended the first day in April and the 25km tracks were cleaned of leaves and other debris in an hour.
“The help we received from volunteers on our first rake day was incredible,” Tathra MTB Club president Andy Johnson said. "Having spent six weeks working in the burnt out bush, it’s amazing to have so many people to help add the finishing touches."
Volunteers are encouraged to bring a rake on the day and then stay on for the Winter Warmers race or just ride the track before an appreciation barbecue at the Tathra Beach Country Club from 3pm with beers from the Jindabyne Brewery.
Johnson said track work for the Enduro is almost complete, with some new berms built and, more recently the infamous “Bridges” track restored.
“Our main goal has been to make the area safe and fun to ride again for the Enduro,” says Johnson.
Saturday’s Rake and Ride day starts at 10am at the Tathra Sewer Works on Katung Rd.
Registration for the Tarra Motors Winter Warmers Race takes place at the Tathra Country Club oval from 12, with racing from 1pm. Non competitve riders can cruise the trail after the race start before the barbecue.
The Tathra MTB Enduro entries are open, with full information available on the Tathra MTB club website at www.tathramtbclub.com.
