Club officials thanked the pair for their continued support of golf in Eden.
Division one winner was Phil Innes, who realised a solid 37 points off his six handicap.
The runner-up some two shots off the pace was the very consistent Neville Simpson.
The veteran John Doorty led the way in division two when he landed 37 points on a count-back from the luckless runner-up Ian Hamdorf.
The highlight of the day for the veteran Jim Fitzgerald was when the eagle landed on the 17th.
Keeping the veterans flag flying was Max Saunders who claimed the golden shot on the eighth.
Members needed 32 or better in the ball rundown.
In ladies golf, members headed for their usual round last Wednesday, vying for the Maree Rankin par round with 20 competing.
Winner of the day was Pat Fethers with an excellent display of minus two.
The runner-up also displaying fine form was Betty Brown with minus three.
Sue Williamson claimed the golden shot with a cracking shot on the third, while everyone with minus seven or better claimed a ball.
Saturday is the opening round of the women’s club championships with the second to played on the coming Wednesday, while the third and final round of competition will go ahead on June 2.
Men’s golfers will contest a single stableford on Saturday, visitors and new players welcome.
