The Bega Pioneers' Museum is calling for members of the community to assist with naming faces in a large collection of photographs donated to the museum by past president Kevin Tetley, who was known as the local photographer for the Far South Coast.
It is a big job, as there are thousands of photos taken around the region of many aspects of life: weddings, debutante balls, schools, marches and more.
“It’s our history, basically,” Bega museum researcher Sandra Floranze said.
Once named the photos will be set up on a display or filed into the museum.
The event will be at the museum in Bega on June 2 from 9.30am-4pm. Those attending are invited to look around the museum for free.
