Golfers kept away by rainfall

No golf was played at Eden on Saturday because of the heavy rain.

Due to much needed rain on Saturday, the 70th anniversary of the Eden Fishermen’s Club golf day was cancelled.

Golf officials advised that the event will now be played on Saturday 23rd June 2018.

Entries for the event may be submitted via the consoles online.

Next Saturday members and visitors will contest a single stabbleford and the club wish to thank Jeffery and Betty Brown for their continued support.

Officials said the rain was a welcome guest last weekend and the course was soaking up the extra bit of water and should be in pristine condition with a much nicer forecast for this weekend.

In last week’s edition of the Eden Magnet in the golf column it was stated that Noel Hall was the winner of A grade in the Club Championship, this was incorrect as Mr Hall was the B grade winner.

The Magnet apologises for any confusion.

The club hosts regular weekly rounds and new members and visitors are always welcome. For more info chat to the friendly crew in the pro shop.
