The Teen Clinic survey is looking for opinions to understand how the clinic is performing and areas of concern for young people during its expansion phase, whether they have attended the clinic or not.
Originating at Bega Valley Medical Practice, Teen Clinic now operates at Curalo Medical Centre in Eden, Lighthouse Surgery in Narooma, Main Street Medical in Merimbula, Kiama Medical Practice, and very soon, Bermagui Medical Centre.
Bega Valley Medical Practice GP Duncan MacKinnon said there here has been a really positive response to the rollout of Teen Clinic to other towns and clinics.
“The survey will help us build on that and check in with the people we are wanting to serve, local teens,” Dr MacKinnon said.
The expansion along the Far South Coast has also prompted enquiries from other communities from as far away as Western Australia.
“Looking after young people is a priority for every regional community, each young person represents so much potential,” Dr MacKinnon said.
“The Teen Clinic model is well suited to serving the needs of young people in rural and regional communities around Australia, we’d be happy to hear from any community who wants to start a Teen Clinic in their town.”
The five minute online survey runs until May 31 and participants go in the draw to win one of 40 $25 gift cards. You can find the Teen Clinic survey here.
