After such success of Dreamcoat’s production Joseph and His Technicolour, the Bega Valley Shire has the opportunity to take part in another production that will be remembered for a lifetime.
Auditions kick off at Lumen Christi Catholic College at 11.30am on May 12.
Director of Tarzan Tori Cordova said she is excited “to bring together, once again the talent of the region and give back to the community through the theatre experience.”
Mrs Cordova has spent recent years living and working on board grand and millennial class cruise ships, travelling the world as the senior production manager, she is also a published writer and experienced director.
She is very passionate about the production and is excited to see Tarzan come together “bringing talent in the area out of the woodwork.”
Rehearsals begin in September with shows running from late November to early December.
The show requires six male featured roles, three female featured roles and two adolescent male featured roles. Also, 12 male and female ensemble roles for ages 12 and above.
“As part of those 12 ensemble roles there are also five roles specifically for children aged 12 and above that require gymnastic and movement skills as well as vocal experience,” Mrs Cordova said.
It’s recommended to wear comfortable clothes on the day of the auditions, Mrs Cordova advises that “people practice their monologues and songs with their vocals beforehand.”
An information session will be held at Lumen Christi Catholic College from 4.30pm to 5.30pm on May 8.
