Runner-up was Neville Simpson with nett 66, while third place went to former Eden Open winner Brett Miller, who now hails from Burleigh Heads.
David Miller was the division two winner on 69 nett from Jim Chenhall.
On Saturday the swirling gale-force winds wreaked havoc for 50 players who headed out and the scores reflected the appalling conditions.
The stableford round was won by Tony Rogers with 37 points on a count-back to claim a victory in division one.
One shot off the pace and playing off a seven handicap was Phil Innes the runner-up.
The event sponsor Michael Sandling took the honours in division two when he landed 37 points after recording a double bogey on the 18th hole.
The veteran Richard Gilmour back in action after a recent health setback took out the runner-up purse with a nice controlled 34 points.
Ball winners were recorded at 32 points or better with the golden shot on the third won by Darren Gordon.
Saturday is the long-awaited par round.
