Council has agreed to allocate $5000 to the Eden Whale Festival for the purposes of the general running of the festival including but not limited to hire of marquees, tables, chairs, security and sound system for performers/stage area. Only councillor Cathy Griff voted against the motion saying she was concerned about setting a precedent as the application was late but councillor Sharon Tapscott said it was money that was needed.
