During March, people over 50 on the Sapphire Coast can attend an exciting program of cheap, short courses and activities run by Sapphire Coast U3A.
On Saturday, March 17, experienced local jewellery maker Susan Mikus will be teaching some simple techniques and you can have fun designing and making a necklace and earrings to take home with you.
If you’ve ever wondered what goes on at Marine Rescue, visit the Merimbula base on March. You’ll learn about its history, rescues, training and operations.

Writer workshop
Writers of the Far South Coast present Canberra-based author LJM Owen with a workshop on how to get published.
You have an idea for a novel, had it for years. Maybe you've scribbled a few notes. The time has come to get that novel onto a bookshelf.
The workshop will cover self and traditional publishing, which is right for you?; self-publishing timelines and costs; considerations in traditional publishing, including agents and the submission process; and the role of social media, writers festivals, libraries, booksellers and writers centres.
Saturday, March 17, 2-4.30pm at Club Sapphire. WFSC member $5, non-member $15.
