The Eden Netball Association is back up and running after a new committee formed at a well attended meeting on Sunday, February 11.
The meeting was chaired by Janet Kiely, president of the Sapphire Coast Netball Association (SCNA) and supported by three other SCNA committee members, Michelle Kelly, Megan Beasy and Kaylie Mitchell.
The SCNA is looking at running a centralised competition where teams representing each town will come together to play against each other.
Therefore, the Eden association is now hoping to have the player numbers to support this competition.
There will be more information provided as news comes to hand. However, a registration information morning is to be held this Saturday, February 17.
Head along to the table outside Eden Newsagency from 10am until noon to speak with committee members and find out further information on how to register.
Registration and insurance fees have been kept to a minimum and will cover February through to December 2018.
Fees for juniors and Net-Set-Go are $70 each, seniors are $100 each and non-player members are $50. Fees for non-player members who are assisting with running the Eden competitions will be covered by the Eden Netball Association.
President of the Eden Netball Association Janifer Hutchinson is employed by Netball NSW as the Netball Development Officer for the Sapphire Coast.
Along with vice-president Genevieve McGuinness and Michelle Kelly, the trio each hold coaching accreditation so are qualified to teach and coach from beginners up to the more experienced players.
They are keen to teach players of any age how to play the game they are passionate about. They would like to see the Eden club built back up to the strong club it once was.
If you have any inquiries or would like to be provided with a registration form, contact either committee member via email or phone.
