The early morning troops braved the wet and windy conditions while the later players enjoyed a more pleasant environment.
Early starter Harry Weatherman relished the conditions when he landed a remarkable scoreline of 48 points to claim division one and a lifetime dream.
Sporting all rounder Ian Smith claimed the runner-up voucher when he amassed 40 points some eight shots off the pace.
In division two Ross Walkser was triumphant with an excellent 38 points and he defeated the veteran Brian Moorhead, who realised 36 points.
Officials said it was ironic that two of the winners had come through the morning wind and rain.
To be included in the ball competition members needed 33 points or better on a countback.
The Golden Shot on the 18th went to Graeme Cantrill
Young guns Adam Inwood and Matt Creswick claimed eagles on the first and 15th respectively.
Next Saturday the 20th January, members and visitors will contest a single Stableford Medley.
The Ladies also played in the very exposed conditions but that did not deter Erica Hansen, who realised a wonderful round of 38 points off an 11 handicap to claim victory.
The consistent Betty Brown took out the runner-up purse in recording 31 points in fine style.
Players needed 29 points or better for a ball. Nearest the pins were Cathy Munday, Vicki Sims and Erica Hansen.
