Cash mob will not be this Saturday. Instead we will be mobbing at Eden’s late night shopping on Thursday 14th, the mob will met near the post office at 5.30 for some fun speed shopping. Come along and show our retailers and stall holders some Christmas cheer.
VIEW friendship
The Sapphire Coast Marine Discovery Centre was a great source of interest for members of the Bega and Merimbula Evening VIEW clubs, who celebrated their annual Christmas Friendship Day in Eden.
They were joined by other VIEW ladies from the NG03 Zone which also includes members from Narooma, Eden and Merimbula Day VIEW Clubs.
VIEW members who all volunteer to support the Smith Family Learning for Life program to assist under-privileged children, enjoyed morning tea in the Eden wharf precinct, before visiting the amazing Marine Discovery Centre.
The Great Southern Inn welcomed 42 members for lunch when popular local identity and volunteer Monica Wood was guest speaker, as Monica's parents owned the Inn for many years and she spent much of her youth living in the Inn/Hotel.
Imlay House
The members of the Imlay House Nursing Home Auxiliary are holding our last fundraiser for this year, it is our annual Christmas street stall, to be held on Thursday 14 December, outside the Op Shop in Pambula, commencing at 9.30am.
This year we will be raffling three hampers, each filled with all sorts of goodies, along with all the usual cakes, slices, jams etc., so make sure you come along and help us to help Imlay House continue to provide the care they give their residents.
To all those who do support us in so many ways, may we wish you a happy and healthy Christmas and New Year.
Garden Club
Members of the Merimbula and District Garden Club enjoyed an outing to the Cobargo Farm for a picnic lunch and a guided tour of the garden with beautiful roses on display and lots of vegetables enjoying the recent rain.
On their way home members visited Bega's Tulgeen "Riverview Nursery" and all were impressed by the wonderful range and choice of plants and shrubs for sale, lovingly cared for by the members of Tulgeen Disability Gardening and Maintencce Services and staff.
