Back Friday, Tiga and Old Habits are still making their way home from their northern winter activities, so it was a depleted but keen fleet starting Race 1.
Unfortunately Thermopylae succumbed to engine failure before the race, but Kim is now confident that the problem has been solved, and he will be a force to be reckoned with next week.
GoGo was a last minute withdrawal due to SES commitments, so there were some quick crew changes to ensure that no one missed out.
Conditions were fresh with a gusty NE-NW breeze and a lumpy sea.
Margaret D revelled in the conditions and was hard to catch, but Livid managed to reel her in just before the finish. Livid has recently been slipped and antifouled, and felt fast in the water, with Ted looking every bit the professional sailor in his new sailing attire.
Gem sailed a great race with new sailors on board, choosing to sail with a reef and make their ride a little more comfortable.
Members met back at the clubhouse for a barbecue and a chat, a pleasant way to finish the day.
The club races most Sundays from Quarantine Bay, Eden.
New members are welcome and anyone interested in sailing can contact commodore Rod on 0414 792 197 or secretary Robyn on 0428 961 659.
See you on the water.
