Students top of the art class
The winning works from the SCLS art show were announced by local artists Peter Dunne and Peter Otton on Friday. There were first place and runner up prizes for every school stage. Some artists were pleasantly surprised to win. Roisin Ahern of Eden High School took second place in the stage six division.

Art on Imlay
Art on Imlay are holding art and craft demonstrations on the last Saturday of every month, on Saturday, August 26, learn how to paint a contemporary acrylic painting and do clay modelling, come along and see how it is done from 10am till 12.30pm.

Cash mob
Cash mob is on again this Saturday, August 12. Meet at 9.30am at the IMB. There are three vouchers to give away thanks to Sweet shoes and Handbags, Roses Property Management and Our Eden Chamber of Commerce.
EKWM OPEN Day
On Saturday, August 19 there will be free admission at the Eden Killer Whale Museum from 2pm. There will also be guided tours of the replica lighthouse on International Lighthouse and Lightship weekend from 12pm to 4pm on the Saturday and Sunday. Come and see how lighthouses worked before automation, and familiarise yourself with the museum. All welcome

OPEN GARDENS
We are looking for anyone who would like to have their garden 'open to the public' on October 28 and 29 for our annual Open Garden event. This event, held on the weekend prior to the Whale Festival, has proved to be extremely popular with gardening enthusiasts. Funds raised go back into the community.
