Two tenders submitted for Eden’s Hotel Australasia
Only two tenders received. I wonder if one of these will get the building and land virtually free on a promise of restoration. Will we ever know what these tenders are worth? I think residents should be told how much council sells an asset for. What concerns me is that it is fine to say that restoration must commence within nine months and be completed within two years, and that the developer is responsible for maintaining the pedestrian walkway from Imlay Street through to the car park, but if the developer fails to do so the council get to keep a bank guarantee of $10,000 then the developer can tell council to get lost. After that there could be a lot of legal expense or else council walking away with nothing and the developer doing what they like with the building and the lane way.

Health district shake-up to ‘provide clean slate’
Thank you Andrew Constance for all your hard work in achieving change.

Hope this changes things though I fear nothing but a complete clean out of the old, toxic management will work. So stop talking and reinstate our much needed surgeon as an act of good faith.

Toilet vandalism in Eden
It’s only going to get worse, when council sends sporting clubs broke paying to use grounds that clubs have done all the work on. Kids will have even less to do.

Kids being bored is no excuse for mindless vandalism. Who is letting their kids roam at night mid-week? Perhaps it's the work of mindless adults. Time to keep a closer eye on your assets, Eden people.

Bloody disgusting!

The pathetic part about it is that if you tried to get these losers to expend the time and energy on something useful, they'd run in the other direction.
