SCT executive officer Anthony Osborne said “significant funds and concrete” would be poured into Eden Port in coming years and the agreement would enable the important work of leveraging tourism to continue.
Mr Osborne said the Port Authority shared SCT’s vision on how to make the port and region successful.
The Port Authority’s support via important funding over the last two years had been crucial to SCT’s success, he said.
The agreement would enable cruise manager Natalie Godward to maintain momentum in developing shore experiences and selling the port to cruise companies, now with the advantage of a longer term focus, he said.
