The branch is expecting to raise over $2000 from the efforts of walkers and their supporters, with the event marking the inaugural Million Paws Walk on the Sapphire Coast.
On a beautiful day, participants walked about 3.5km on a picturesque route through Spencer Park to the bridge and back again.
Members of the cast of the Footprint Theatre production of The Dog Logs, in their doggie costumes, mingled with the crowd.
The Pambula, Eden and Merimbula vet clinics were also on hand to provide express health checks, with proceeds being donated to the Branch.
Sapphire Coast Branch President Marisa Whant thanked those who attended, and said the branch will use all funds raised to improve the welfare of animals within the local community.
