Southwesterly winds of up to 30 knots are expected on Tuesday, along with 2-3m seas and a swell that will increase to 2-3m around midday.
The same level of swell is anticipated throughout the day on Wednesday, prompting the Bureau of Meteorology to issue a warning on its website.
"Large and powerful surf conditions are expected to be hazardous for coastal activities such as crossing bars by boat and rock fishing," the warning said.
