Michael Young from Orbost and Kerry and Dave Hughes from Lakes Entrance were cleaning their catch of flathead on Tuesday at Quarantine Bay, occasionally throwing a scrap to the stingrays and cormorants greedily circling the fish cleaning tables.

“We fished at North Head to start with and then in this bay,” Kerry Hughes said.
“We got a good catch of flatties – a nice feed for tonight.”
“We’re staying at Shadrack’s Beach Resort, just over there. It’s awesome,” Michael Young said.
The Victorians arrived last Thursday and have been fishing every day.
“We’ve caught morwong, snapper, flathead and lots of wrasse but they go straight back,” Kerry said.
