The competition, which is sponsored by Fletchers Fotographics in Bega, will see prizes, including Apple IPads and local shopping vouchers, awarded to winners from the open, Facebook people’s choice, and under 18s categories.
Council’s competition organiser, Rebecca Bogie, said the theme for this year’s competition is ‘what we love about our place’, and photos should reflect what you love about the local places and local people of the Bega Valley Shire.
“Last year’s competition saw a flood of fantastic entries from right across the shire, and we’re hoping for an even bigger response this year,” she said.
“The competition is open to anyone with camera or phone, and with three categories on offer there’s a really good chance of anyone walking away with some great prizes.
“This year we have an Apple IPad and a $50 Fletchers Fotographics voucher as the top prize, an IPad Mini for the under 18s prize, and $300 to spend in a local shop of your choice for the Facebook people’s choice category.
“The Facebook people’s choice category is awarded to the photo that receives the most ‘Likes’ during the competition period,” Ms Bogie said.
