According to a passenger on board the flight, after the plane had landed she noticed flames coming from the aircraft and advised the flight attendant.

Passengers were told to take their seats and re buckle their seatbelts as the fire was attended to.

This morning's 6.30am Merimbula to Sydney service was delayed by two hours with passengers still sitting in the terminal.

Some passengers scheduled to travel on the same aircraft from Merimbula to Sydney at 6.30am this morning were advised by text message that there were disruptions to the service.

The REX website did not have any service disruption messages.
