Eden VIEW celebrates 26 years
Eden VIEW Club is celebrating its 26th birthday on Monday, October 23. VIEW (Voice Interests Education of Women) clubs play an important role with The Smith Family to ensure children from disadvantaged families can participate in school activities, go to camps, wear appropriate school uniforms and can learn with their own books. The Eden VIEW club has been supporting/sponsoring up to three children through fundraising, by a variety of means.

CART FOR GOLFERS WITH DISABILITY
Golfers finding it difficult or impossible to walk the local course can now play thanks to a joint initiative of the Rotary Clubs of Pambula and Merimbula, and the Pambula-Merimbula Golf Club.
Last week the Golf Club gained a new electric golf cart built specifically for those with a walking disability.
The new cart, built by the Parmaker Company in Melbourne, cost nearly $5,000, with the two local Rotary Clubs donating about $2100 each, and the remainder covered by the Pambula-Merimbula Golf Club.
The cart will remain the property of the PMGC, who will garage the cart and undertake its maintenance.
Golf Club member Ron Finneran welcomed the acquisition of such a cart. He gave the cart a test run last Friday, October 13th, and by all accounts, was very pleased with the new machine.
Pambula Rotary Club president Colin Dunn said the cart would be available to any local or visiting golfers with a disability.

Grab a bargain at the Wyndham Village Market and Plant Fair this Sunday, October 22 where there will be new stalls together with all your favourite stalls and plants galore at prices cheap as chips.

We are excited to welcome Wyndham’s own budding artist, Gemma Saarinen, to the stage this month with her amazing exhibition of young talent.
Support the Wyndham Mens Shed who will be serving up good food and cuppas in the supper room gallery for the next three markets to raise much needed funds for their great cause.
Stalls cost just $15 for casual sites, $13 for regulars who book three months in advance and $10 for the car boot sale. Book your stall now by calling Yvonne on 64 942 443.

The president and secretary gave a comprehensive report on the Group leaders conference they had attended in Sydney and they will be making some changes to how monthly meetings are held in the new year.
The president has recently had a meeting with a new neurologist at Bowral and had the most extensive consultation he has ever had. The November meeting will see the CEO of Parkinson NSW Jo-Anne Reeves and support group co-ordinator Melanie Browning at the meeting. Jo-Anne will give an broad report on the operations of Parkinson NSW and Melanie on how our meetings can be of help to the operation of Parkinson NSW.
Members are requested to attend this meeting as the two speakers have a great deal of information for everyone. The public is very welcome to this meeting.
