Whether you are interested in joining the club, helping in some way or simply want to know how rescues are performed, everyone will be welcome to find out more on Sunday.
“It’s our annual club open day where we open our doors to the public. They can look at the club, read about its history and check out the rescue equipment,” surf lifesaver Andrew Holt said.
It is also the Nippers registration day and a chance for any kids to be part of the program in the upcoming season; Nippers registration starts from 11.30am.
Nippers is a junior program that introduces children aged 5 to 13 to surf lifesaving. The Nippers Surf education program is a fun outdoors activity about beach safety and awareness and allows kids to gain skills so that they can compete at carnivals, Andrew said.
The club has disabled access and an elevator to the second floor and there will also be a sausage sizzle on the day.
