However, in what officials said was a “disappointing turn of events” the Canberra Royals have forfeited the game against the team, meaning there will be no play on the Falcons’ home soil.
“Our team is very disappointed but in true Falcons spirit many will now travel to Jindabyne to support the girls in the older grade against the Vikings,” a spokeswoman for the club said.
The girls have been making regular road trips to Canberra and Jindabyne to compete and were looking forward to hosting their first game.
The club will still sit at the top of the competition ladder and players are eager to meet their next challenge in the series.
The spokeswoman said the club does have a second home round scheduled for later in the season and would release news on the round soon.
