It was all part of the National Simultaneous Storytime where students across Australia gather at the same time on the same day to read a chosen Australian picture book as part of the the Australian Library and Information Association event.
This year's book, The Cow Tripped Over the Moon, was an absolute hit with the Eden youngsters.
Eden Library’s Cath McLean read the story to two kindergarten classes from Eden Public School who were joined by some other local preschoolers.
They also enjoyed some craft where they created a cow jumping over the moon with the words to the much loved nursery rhyme Hey Diddle Diddle.
“It was such a great event,” Ms McLean said.
“The kids were beautifully behaved and they laughed in all the right places, which means they were really listening to the story.”
