Kiarna is a junior athletics prodigy, recently competing in the Australian Junior Athletics Championships, hitting a podium finish in the javelin.
It was her strongest result to date, landing just shy of her personal best and a fifth-place finish in shotput.
Earlier, Kiarna had contested the ACT Championships, where she threw a State record in the under 16s javelin, reaching out to 39.73 metres and broke a 21-year-old shotput record of 12.22 metres.
Proud mum Kylie Blain beamed that “preparations are looking good for her upcoming trip to Canada in July”.

Kiarna has been invited to compete at a prestigious international athletics event in Canada alongside fellow Merimbula athlete Mattee Scott.
However, there is a huge cost involved and both juniors have gofundme pages to help cover the expense.
To help, Kiarna’s employers Larry and Leigh Seely of Subway Merimbula are hosting a fundraiser. May 27 between 4-8pm proceeds from all subs sold will help Kiarna towards her trip.
There is also a donation tin on the counter and the family thanked the Seelys for their gracious support.
