More than 80 kids and some willing parents took part in the Eden Colour Fun Run at the Eden football and soccer grounds on Thursday.
Campbell Page organised the event as part of youth week activities occurring across the Bega Valley.
Organiser Greg Nicholson praised fellow staff, particularly Timika Michelin, as well as the community for taking part.
Mr Nicholson took the eager participants through the course, before they broke into smaller groups and ran across the two sporting grounds.
Volunteers were equipped with different dried paint at different checkpoints, ready to pound runners with their chosen colour.
Some tried to avoid the paint, while other revelled in it.
By the end of the run almost every competitor was wearing technicolour apparel, including the odd dog.
The fun did not stop there, with a free sausage sizzle, inflatable slide and hula hooping demonstrations keeping the youth entertained.
