Officials said players were greeted by amazing autumn conditions with a great field of 65 players taking part in the par event at the Eden golf course.
The club thanked Barry Ellis of Top Tackle for supporting the round.
Finishing runner-up two shots off the pace was Jimmy Hall, who fired a steady round of plus four off his 12 handicap.
However, the round of the day belonged to division two winner Barry Hughes, who carded a remarkable plus eight to top of the field off his 31 handicap.
Runner-up was Mike Skitt, who carded a solid round of plus four.
Players needed minus one or better to be considered in the ball run down.
Golden shot winner was Harry Weatherman.
On Saturday members and visitors will greet the starters for the April monthly medal with Bill Kruzinga the sponsor and the club thanks him for his continued support.
Eden’s division two pennant side took out the grand final 3.5 to 1.5 over the strong Pambula-Merimbula outfit, but unfortunately the club’s seniors went down to Tura by the same margin.
Dad’s Army were able to get out on the weekend with a stableford over the back nine. Winner of the morning was Dale Boyce with 25 points from runner up Simon Holt with 24 points.
In the players’ draw Glen Grainger won the chook, while Dale Boyce and B. Hughes enjoyed the drinks courtesy of the country club.
Sunday is a stroke event over the front nine starting at the pro shop.
