In August last year, police began investigations into the alleged historic sexual assaults of children between 2001 and 2003.
On Tuesday, the 65-year-old appeared in Bega Local Court charged with aggravated sexual assault on a victim aged under 16 and three counts of committing an act of indecency with a person aged under 16.
Magistrate David Degnan adjourned the case to May 9.
