Two games across two respective grounds both had to be culled as rains settled on the Far South Coast over the weekend.
Four lower ranked teams from both the A and B grade finals series were cut short of a chance at an upset with play moving forward on points.
Downpours hit Merimbula and Tathra by about noon and stayed steady to make play almost impossible.
The first division grand final will pit the Tathra Sea Eagles against the Merimbula Knights this weekend at Lawrence Park, Tathra.
In the B grade draw, the Pambula Bluedogs will host South Eurobodalla at the Pambula Sporting Complex.
Juniors also took part in an inter-district contest against Monaro on Sunday morning at Cooma.
Unfortunately Monaro forfeited the under 16s, but the under 12s and under 14s played.
Eden players dominated the two sides with three players from the club selected in each side. Joey Elton, Rahul Mudaliar and Xavier Bowes played in the U12 side. Xavier as captain. Jessie Mudaliar, Morgan Thornton and Noah Martin played in the winning U14 side.
The under 12s were soundly beaten by nine wickets despite great batting from Pambula's rising star, Bobby McAlpin.
The FSC side also boasted good bowling by captain Xavier Bowes of Eden.
The under 14s win was an all-round team effort.
Team captain, Merimbula's Jem Ryan won the toss and elected to bat.
Jem then opened with Bega's Liam Kelly, providing a good start.
Then it was a 22-over, 89 run partnership from Bega's Nick Fanthom (86) and Eden's Noah Martin (27) to set the team up.
Bermagui's Jade Allen (29) led the tail to post a total of 7/237 off 45 overs.
In reply Monaro had trouble from the start with the opening bowlers Bega's Amy Wells (6 overs 3/23) and Pambula's Zak Keogh (6 overs 2 maidens 3/5) keeping the runs scarce.
Monaro were bowled out for 121, so the Griffin-Treloar Cup stays with the FSCCA for another year.
Four Eden players have also been selected to travel to Wollongong this week in FSC squad of six to trial for the Southern Zone Primary School side that contests the PSSA State Championships. Talented players, Morgan, Rahul, Joey and Noah will be giving their best in a hotly contested field.
Finally, the strength of Eden cricket was further shown when the Eden Public School side defeated Milton/Ulladulla this week in Bermagui to move into the third round of matches.
