Ms Wilson, who rose to fame off the back of her best-selling 'I Quit Sugar' book, is an avid hiker and has now shared the beauty of Eden with people from all over Australia and the world.
In her post, Ms Wilson said she would recommend the walk from Boyds Tower to Green Cape Lighthouse for anyone as their first overnight hike.
She also said she would list it as one of the top 10 walks in Australia.
“The scenery is stunningly varied,” she said.
“The campsites are wonderful. And having the option of staying your last night in a lighthouse keeper’s cottage is a great carrot to have dangling in the harder sections.”
Bega Valley Shire mayor Kristy McBain shared the link to Ms Wilson’s post on Facebook saying the Lighthouse to Lighthouse walk is one of the many great spots in the shire.
“Our great piece of earth is getting some social media spotlight,” Cr McBain said.
As part of her journey Ms Wilson also raved about the beauty of Merimbula’s “bus stop” like airport as well as praising local cafes.
Ms Wilson stopped at Sprout Cafe in Eden before her hike which she said “is everything a health food joint should be”.
“The produce is either grown out the back or supplied by farmers and backyard growers in the area who stream in in the mornings with their wares, stopping for a coffee.
“Owner Karen also supports the local school with their veggie garden – the kids sell their produce in the store and the funds go back into the garden.
“The menu is one to rival most places in the big cities and – glory be – all cleaning products and loo paper are the most sustainable options I’ve ever managed to find myself.”
Before her flight home, Ms Wilson stopped by Bar Beach Cafe – place that Ms Wilson praised highly.
“This place is a gem. I’d cross New South Wales to go visit again. Their coffee is superb and the food spot on.”
